The Lake is open for fishing and boating every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Shoreline fishing is available from the campground daily from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Night Fishing until midnight is available Friday and Saturday nights beginning Friday, May 22nd and running through September 7th.
Note: State fishing licenses are required but not available
for purchase at Lake Jennings. They must be obtained prior
to visiting the lake. You may acquire a California fishing
license online. (You must have a working printer to make a
short-term or temporary pass while waiting for your permanent
license to arrive in the mail.) Get complete details and instructions

Occasionally, Lake Jennings has openings for assistant recreation rangers, dockhands and, at the campground, volunteer park hosts. Position details and application procedures may be found in the human resources section of the Helix Water District website.

Mike Long of Poway caught a 17 lb. 2 oz. Largemouth Bass at
Siesta Point on Saturday, January 29, 2005. The old lake record
was 16 lb. 4 oz.
Bob Bowden caught a 71.3-pound. Blue Catfish on June 1, 2014.
It was the largest fish caught in Lake Jennings history.
